Hey hey, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now run by That Artsy Reader Girl! Yay! I’ve loved making it a (semi) regular post on this blog! So, as y’all could probably guess, I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember. I notoriously always had a book with me and would leave family gatherings to read sometimes, and I’d always bring multiple books on vacations, even as a kid. But even with all of that being said, this topic was HARD. I want to read all the books! How am I supposed to know what’s been on my TBR the longest? So I did some assessing of my Want to Read shelf on Goodreads and came up with a decent list of ten books I know I’ve wanted to read for a really long time. Since around the time I graduated college, at least. So that’s what we’re working with today!Read More »
I just discovered this readathon, and it sounds right up my alley! Especially since I have a bunch of books that need to be read in short order. So! I’ve decided to join a readathon this weekend! Hurray!Read More »
Hey hey, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now run by That Artsy Reader Girl! Yay! I’ve loved making it a (semi) regular post on this blog! This week, I’m talking about books I meant to read and never got to in 2017 that I SWEAR I’m going to read this year. Many of them fit into one of my series reading challenges, and allllllll of them obviously fit into the Beat the Backlist challenge. I’m so excited to dive into these books this year!

Hey hey, it’s Top Ten Tuesday! Top Ten Tuesday is run by The Broke and the Bookish, and I’ve loved making it a (semi) regular post on this blog! This week, I’m talking about the books I’m most looking forward to in 2018, and surprisingly, I almost got this narrowed down to just 10! Almost is key… there are 12 on my list. But that’s not bad, considering my 17 favorite books of 2017 (lol). In any case, why am I still babbling on when I could be listing out some awesome-looking upcoming books?Read More »
Hey y’all, and welcome to the end of the year! There’s only one week left in this trash fire of a year, so naturally, I’ve been thinking about what I want my reading to look like in 2018. In 2017, I tried (and failed – but only because I stopped keeping track in about June) to complete three different reading challenges, and I found it… stifling. I’m a mood reader! I also tried to dive head-first into the ARC reading game that a lot of book bloggers play, and I found that stifling as well. Like I said – I’m a mood reader! So I’m doing something very different in 2018, and I’m really excited about it. It is two-fold:
- I’m done playing the ARC game for a while. I still have a giant pile of unread ARCs from 2017 and a decent amount for the first half of 2018 as well, so I’m covered for a while. I’m going to read what strikes me rather than worrying too much about deadlines and release dates. And maybe, by reading some of my backlist NetGalley titles, I can get my percentage up a little?
- My reading challenges are so much broader. I’m participating in two reading challenges this year, but they’re not about fitting books into boxes – they’re about completing your goals. And that’s the kind of reading challenge that I’m about.
