Hi reading buddies! It’s time for another edition of Last Week Squees! We’re going to keep it pretty short today, because I didn’t have a very productive week.
Last Week Squees
I got very little reading done this week for reasons sort of unknown to me. I spent a lot of time watching Buzzfeed Unsolved and talking to friends this week, and I’m 100% okay with that. The only problem is that it’s putting me behind in ARC August! So I’ll likely spend much of the remaining weekend reading to try to catch up. Here’s what went down this week:
The Only Squee, A Sweet One with a Bad Title
You read that right! I only finished a single book this week! Gasp, right? Well. I was a little burned out after 24in48, so I think I needed this resting week. But anyway! I finished Butterface by Avery Flynn, which was funny and sweet and I really liked it. But I really REALLY hated the title and what it implies, which I’ll talk more about when I review it on Monday. But anyway, I enjoyed this one!
Upcoming Reads
My TBR has shifted a little based on some book tours that I’m going to be a part of in the next couple of weeks, but here’s what I have coming down the pipe:
- The Wrong Side of Twenty-Five by Dionne Abouelela (currently reading)
- Ready Player One by Ernest Cline (currently reading… still)
- Courting Carlyn by Melissa Chambers
- See All the Stars by Kit Frick
I’ve got some reading to do! What is everyone else reading this weekend?
Happy reading, as always!
