Top 5 Wednesday – Favorite SSF Covers

Hey-o! Would you believe me that I’ve been working on my fiction writing again, and that’s why I somehow managed to forget to post a blog yesterday? Because it’s true! That’s what happened! I don’t know that I’ll have an update about said fiction anytime soon, but there are things in the works.

But that’s not what I’m going to talk about today! In fact, I’m not going to talk much at all, because this topic is about covers, and the pictures are worth a thousand words.

Without further ado, here are (some) of my favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy covers (that are on my shelves):

5. The Hunger Games books (original covers)

Simple. Futuristic. Perfect for what these books are. And that mockingjay pin! Plus, no actors on the covers.

4. A Darker Shade of Magic books (US covers)

The black, white, and red has my heart.

3. Throne of Glass books (US covers)

Although I actually love the white UK covers just as much, but the badassery of Celaena on these covers is awesome (despite what they contain within).

2. And I Darken books

So beautiful!

1. Red Queen books

I mean, did you expect anything else? The blood on the crowns? GORGEOUS. I bought these books because of the covers.

What are your favorite SSF covers? Share them with me in the comments!

Happy reading!
